Dr. Dewey Philgood, Esq.

Dr. Dewey Philgood, Esq.

Dr. Dewey Philgood, Esq.

Born with a gavel in one hand and a grin in the other, Dr. Dewey Philgood, Esq. has long lived by the creed that justice should be swift, fair, and—when appropriate—delivered with impeccable timing. Friends say his cradle rocked at a steady 4/4 beat, foreshadowing a life that would harmonize high jurisprudence with just a hint of hair-metal swagger.

Dr. Philgood polished his keen legal mind at Harvard University, where he distinguished himself by mastering the Socratic Method, footnoting with panache, and humming motivational tunes during late-night study sessions. After graduation, he reached the rarified air of the Supreme Court by clerking for Justice Clarence Thomas, where he learned the fine art of constitutional interpretation, meticulous reasoning, and how to keep a straight face in very serious rooms.

Returning to serve the people, Dr. Philgood ascended to the bench as Judge for the City of Academy Municipal Court, where his courtroom became known for clarity, civility, and the occasional knowing nod to pop culture. Litigants swear that when he enters, there’s an aura—some say he’s “the one they call Dr. Feelgood”—a judge who makes the law feel understandable, even reassuring. His rulings are crisp, his opinions readable, and his courtroom management so smooth it almost “makes ya feel alright.”

Off the bench, Judge Philgood is a tireless mentor, a champion of access to justice, and a reminder that the rule of law doesn’t have to be joyless. He proves that one can be impeccably credentialed, rigorously fair, and still carry a rhythm that keeps the whole system in time. In short: learned, honorable, and just a little legendary.
